About to be back after many months of absence! This beautiful 20 inch paper mache (papier-mâché ) Santos lady is dressed in the unusual shade of teal. She has dark brown molded hair, and unlike any other doll we've seen, she has a small, loose bun molded on to the back of her head. Her eyes are painted brown on either glass or resin eyes (we can't tell for sure which). She's also painted with, rosy lips and very subtle cheeks. Her brown sandals have been painted on her feet.
Her arms are in a fixed position, and are ready to hold a crown, rosary, cross, milagro or even dried flowers. She is permanently molded on to a wooden stand that is attached to the base with a bracket.
She is paper mache and therefore hollow and lighter weight than she looks. She's a beautiful and unique addition to your collection!
All dolls are crafted to appear antique in nature, which may include some of the following: distressed or chipped paint, minor splits in wood, variations in paint shade, and other artistic processes, yielding different results on every doll. Although all dolls are remarkably close in appearance, there may be signs of aging that are not identical to other dolls of the same model. This is considered character, and not a flaw.
All photos are from our studio collection. Your doll will be very, very similar to the lady shown. Please keep in mind that the arm motion-/posture-capacity of your doll may differ from (i.e. be more, less, or similar to that of) the doll depicted.
